This is Drew -- we spoke for a while at the Dilboy the first night of HONK. We were in the back, listening to the jam sessions, and talking about music arranging. My wife, Julie, and I were up from Atlanta -- scoping it out to see if our band (Seed and Feed Marching Abominable) should try to come next year.
Since our band couldn't make it this year, we armed ourselves with camera and video -- thus the video of BLO that I posted to the HONK webpage.
Thanks for the extra info on Roma-Roma. As it turns out, I read your info on the bass line shortly after having an exchange with Adam Bernstien (who I guess monitors BLO's email) and Jeff GiaQuinto about the Finale files for the melody. Great song! Wish I had a recording for the ipod.
I'm going to get a disc of higher res video files out to BLO so you'll have a better recording of it.
Hope we cross paths again next year at HONK.
