- Global Trance Funk - The activist marching bands of the world, the P-Funk and related, JB, quality HipHop, Healing trance music of the Sufis (esp. Gnaoua), Afro-Caribbean folk, all over the world we find it. It's at Burning Man, too. Environmental Encroachment, March Fourth, Hungry March, Pink Puffers, Rude Mechanical Orchestra, the list goes on....you Honkateers know what I'm talking about!
- Favorite Music Festivals:
- HONK!Fest - the greatest marching band festival in the world.
Burning Man and the regionals - I thought it knew what it was about but there's nothing to compare it to.
Puppetropolis Chicago - it was great for a year but shook things up too much and the city withdrew funding.
Black Sheep Puppet Festival - Pittsburgh's world-class fest until it faded away
